My philosophy about nutrition is pretty simple. Eat whole, nutrient-dense foods most of the time, leave a little room for indulgences here and there, and control your portion size.
Meal plans do not work in my opinion. I can tell you what to eat but that doesn’t teach you anything and after a while you will get bored and slip up. You end up going back to your old habits every time.
I do not believe tracking food in an online app or counting calories and macros is realistic or sustainable. Sure it has value if you’re just getting started, but long term it can become more of a stress than a solution.
My nutrition coaching is designed to help you learn a sustainable way of eating that works with your body and lifestyle and being held accountable to it for long enough to create good, consistent habits.
I use an app called “My Coach.” This is how I assign you daily goals and deliver daily lessons to educate you and support you. Each day you have an assignment and the next day you tell me how you did. I can provide feedback or get on your butt if you’re not keeping up with your goals.
Each week you check in with me and tell me how you’re doing and we work on overcoming obstacles that might be getting in your way. One step at a time we work to transform your habits into a lifestyle you can maintain that also helps you reach your goals.
