Being a mom is a seriously tough job, and it is not uncommon for mothers to allow their own health and fitness to take a back seat to caring for kids, home and work.
Michelle is the mom of a young son, and found herself physically inactive and wanting to lose weight.
She was ready to learn and put in the work, both with training and a couple of days on her own.
Michelle pushed through more than one setback, including a couple of nagging chronic injuries and illness. But she never gave up and continued to do what she could both physically and nutritionally.
Setting small goals for each month helped keep Michelle accountable and focused on a short term result that would add up over the long term.
In just a few months she dropped over 10 pounds and 12 inches, and lowered her body fat 2%.
Michelle’s pictures show what may not seem like a “huge” scale drop can translate into a very clear physical difference. Her body has changed considerably as the result of her consistent training and diligence with her diet.
Michelle has now also discovered some specific diet changes that work best for her body, and she’s about half way to her overall weight loss goal.
Her dedication to pushing through obstacles and learning what works best for her has allowed her to make herself a priority while still taking care of her son, husband and home.
It is not selfish to make time for yourself and to want to be active and healthy. If you don’t take care of you, how can you be there to take care of your loved ones?
Michelle now has more confidence and energy and that’s a change worth more than any number on a scale.
