If you’ve ever thought you were too busy or had too much going on in your life to focus on your health, my client Angela is going to prove you wrong.
Since we started working together in April, Angela has been going through a very busy, transitional time in her life.
Her oldest child graduated high school and a month later was off to Colorado to begin his career at the U.S. Air Force Academy.
During that time the family also took a vacation together, had a huge graduation party, and continued with regular volunteer activities they participate in a few times a week.
Despite being super busy (and dealing with the stress of sending off your first child into the world – and across the country!) Angela stayed committed to her workouts and tracked her food to keep herself accountable.
Check out her progress so far:
Total pounds lost: 13.2
Total inches lost: 20.75
Body fat dropped over 5%
Angela has been able to have such great progress in just four months by staying consistent. In addition to training with me a couple times a week, she also does cardio on her own in the mornings (even when she doesn’t feel like it!) and comes to Fit Camp on Saturdays whenever she can.
When it comes to food, Angela and I work on making sure she is getting enough calories to fuel her very active and busy life, while making smart choices and being careful not to over indulge. She absolutely still enjoys life and is not limited by a rigid meal plan.
Full disclosure, Angela was hesitant to share her progress because she feels she still has a ways to go before reaching her goal. I assured her that even though she is not yet to where she wants to be, seeing how much she’s accomplished through her hard work this far is inspiring, and something she should be proud of!
The truth is, most of us never really feel we’ve reached exactly where we want to be. But life is a journey, not a destination. We should always be working to improve, to push ourselves harder and do more. That doesn’t mean you can’t be proud of where you are now and how far you’ve come.
So give Angela, and yourself, a high five for making an investment in your health and your future. You’ve earned it!
