Getting in shape isn’t always about getting smaller. It’s also about getting stronger.
When I met Carrie, she was already active, but was mostly running and doing cardio. She was ready for something new, something that would shape her body and give her a new challenge.
Carrie has been working with me for more than two years. She’s fallen in love with lifting and trains at least three times per week.
You might now know it from looking at her, but this busy working mom can dead lift her body weight. She squats and bench presses ,too.
Sometimes people say lifting heavy will make you “bulky”… that’s just not true. Carrie is proof of that.
You can see just how much her overall posture has improved. That’s what strength training can do!
A physical transformation is one thing, but what’s been even more rewarding is seeing how Carrie has transformed her lifestyle and found a love for lifting heavy and being strong.
That’s an amazing feeling, and worth more than bragging rights.
