Every year I eat four Thanksgiving dinners.
Why husband and I both have non-traditional families, which means holidays are split between his mom and step-dad, his dad and wife, my mom and her husband, and my dad.
We are certainly lucky to have loving parents to spend the holidays with, but all that traveling (not to mention the food) can be exhausting.
Typically we pack up the car every Thanksgiving morning and head up to our hometown. We spend the next three days making sure we get to spend time with all four sets of family members before heading home on Sunday morning.
While we are away from home, it is still important to me to get my workouts in, especially because as I mentioned – four Thanksgiving dinners.
Ya feel me?
I’ve become quite adept at planning workouts when on the road. Even if I am able to get to a gym, it isn’t always one I am familiar with and I am not always sure what equipment will be available. Sometimes that means planning a workout on the fly with whatever I have at my disposal.
At times it has meant working out in my Dad’s backyard, or as in the case of last year, running up and down the stairs in his house to get a good sweat going.
You do what ya gotta do.
Great news though if you are getting ready to hit the road for the holidays. You won’t have to put in a bunch of time and effort planning workouts because I have got you covered.
Below are four of my best travel workouts (complete with videos!) No matter where you’re staying or what you have to work with one of these workouts will work for you!
